Your Blue Dress

Your blue dress: it frightens me.
Neither sky, nor ocean, but akin to each.
As I stare, my longing, it slowly creeps,
To be lost in it and out of reach.
Whether wave or wind, whatever it be,
To carry me to you, on promise breached,
Letting me see your face, then sink too deep.
Once clasped, your hand, now slipped, I weep,
As I vanish from the sapphire beach,

Of your blue dress that frightened me.
